I haven't talked about rain in a while as it has really slowed down in the last couple of weeks. On the local news last night, they broke it down:
Concord, NH, although having a wet summer (note - meteorological summer is June thru August), it was only the 13th wettest on record. Here is the article/video if interested (which is where I got this screen shot from).
However, other places got much more. Sunapee is a lot closer to me than Concord, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get quite that much as the last couple of big rain-makers missed me. (this pic taken during the TV broadcast).
Mount Washington definitely had it's all time record this summer. The previous record was broken back on August 9, at a bit less than 39".
My guess is that I got right in between Concord and Sunapee totals, so around 20" during those 3 months.
I didn't realize that any part of NH received as little rain as is shown for Concord. (Yeah, I know so much about weather in places where I've never lived - lol.) Oops! Mental hiccup. The numbers are for "summer" not "annual". That's 'way different (one hopes).
I just added up what we had received in June-August: 12.5". That was enough to take us from "extreme", but we are still in drought.

Yeah, that is for a 3 month period. Annual rainfall+snowfall average is 40-50" (depending on where in NH you are). We do get some sort of precipitation 133 days of the year, just during normal summers a lot of that is 1/4" at a time.
This is an interesting site that has all kinds of weather averages for NH: https://weatherspark.com/countries/US/NH
