Well, the idea was to let the hot air actually flow thru the basement instead of eventually meandering out after getting that area to the high 80's. The only thing I dislike is looking at the water heater and its big silver exhaust. But it's not like it is on the living floor, where I would have to look at it all the time. Thought about getting a tankless, direct vent, but don't have anyplace to put it that allows for required clearances.
That is a huge exhaust. I wasn't even offended by the view - just surprised as I was accustomed to there being a wall there. Are you planning to hang a bead curtain to give you visual screening? *lol*
I took that wall out a couple of years ago when I moved the pellet stove into that corner (previously it had been directly behind the stairs). But, to be fair, when you were here, the wall was still there.
You blogged about the progress; but, reading/seeing photos doesn't have the same impact on memory as does a personal visit. You had stored the bathroom countertop next to that wall, as I recall.
Your projects certainly neaten up things for you. Great!
