Last Saturday was the annual Winter Storage Party at my H-D dealer. That is a special event put on specifically for people who store their bikes there over the winter. They have an indoor poker run, vendor displays (customizers and painters), raffles, many different types of chicken wings brought in by a local caterer, and the chili cook off. The chili cook off is put on by all the Service personnel and whoever wins, by customer vote, gets an extra paid day off.
Of course one of the draws is because the bike bay is opened up so we can go visit our bikes. They are well taken care of in a heated area, securely tied down and the battery is regularly charged.
I always take advantage of having them take care of any services while the bike is there. This year I took advantage of the package that offers bike pick up and transport to storage, detailing, state inspection, oil change and of course they go thru the entire bike to make sure there are no leaks or other issues. Since my bike was due for its 5,000 mile service, and they offer it for 1/2 price if done during storage, I took advantage of that too.
During the raffles I came away with a couple of hats from a displaying vendor, Drag Specialties, and a package of H-D Bar and Shield chrome valve stem covers.
Saw a couple of people from LOH and the HOG Chapter so socialized a bit, saw my bike, looked at other people's bikes, had some eats and a soda that the dealership provided and came away with some goodies - not a shabby way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Who would have thought of "visitation rights" for bikes? You always seem to enjoy the outing and come away with goodies. Good for you!

I think last year is the only year I didn't win something but there are way more people than door prizes available so I think I fair pretty well most years.
