Mother Nature has been bipolar for the last week or so. In the 50's, then snow. Wednesday it was in the high 60's (70's in many places and achieved records even up to Mt. Washington), the next evening it snowed. It was high 40's yesterday and just started snowing a little while ago.Forecast is for 3-6" of snow and then some warming up next week. Will probably have to at least tackle the driveway so any thawing doesn't produce a flooded garage.
There has been a lot of thawing in the yard - but underneath it is still frozen so the water has no place to go. This is causing very muddy conditions in front of the tent garage as well as areas. Had to put the truck in 4WD yesterday as I was backing into the garage. Guess I know what one of my projects for the summer is going to be.
People down south have much worse problems with severe flooding, so I can't complain.
FYI - Next weekend will be very busy with a day of training on Saturday and meetings on Sunday so I may not post anything.
Your weather has really been jerked around, and the overall temperature tendencies have not done you any favors by keeping the soil frozen.
Total, this past week, we received about 1/2-inch equivalent moisture. It's sunny, this morning, so everything should be melted and soaked in within another few hours.
