I dropped the Explorer off Thursday night so they could replace the bumper Friday. Picked it up today. Here is the massive damage that I never noticed.

Still can't believe they replaced the whole thing for those scratches. Really, I never would have known and it's not like the bumper would have rotted away from them. And actually, probably one of the cheapest parts to replace on the whole vehicle looking at the invoice that the insurance paid.
Looks good. Like you, I would probably not have noticed.
I don't know what you consider cheap; but, several years ago you may recall that I had a bumper cover replaced. I recall a line item of $300 - and I think that was for the part!

Bumper assembly was 359.47, labor was 102.45 (that is only for bumper removal / install).
