Yesterday was cold with brutal windchills. This morning is the coldest morning I remember - definitely the coldest since I've been at this house at -21 degrees
By 2 pm, with a cloudless, sunny sky it had climbed to the high for the day at +4 degrees. It is all downhill from there.
Pellet stoves have done a wonderful job of keeping it warm in the house. Did have a brief scare with power flickers, but thank goodness nothing permanent.
By middle of the week we will be back in the 40's or 50's - I can live with that :)
I wondered how much colder you were than the -1 degree that was reported in NYC (-7 in Boston?) Thanks for the update.
Your stoves and your insulation are paying off. Super!

Warming up, any?

Much warmer. Morning temps in single digits and afternoons anywhere from 20 to 50 (today it is 29 and sunny). Had a lot of rain in the last 10 days and a bit of snow. Most of the snow in the yard is gone, but the ground is still frozen solid.
