It's been a busy week with late nights.
Monday was WS's 50th birthday so I took him out to dinner at a new place in town (new being releatve here, it's only been open a little over a year). For being a little hole in the wall tavern, they had great food.
Wednesday was our 26th anniversayr and WS took me out to a new place in town. This place is really new as it has only been open for a couple of weeks. The food was good, but service was slow. We expected as much, so it wasn't too bad.
Wednesday, WS took my bike in for service (he works about 2 miles from the shop). oN his way home he stopped to renew perscriptions for his allergies. When he came out, the bike wouldn't start. He called me and I came down with the Jeep, confirmed it was dead - as in nothing even from the battery - and he started tearing into the fuses. Found the main fuse had blown (STF - 40 A fuse). It was 6 PM and he thought maybe an independent mechanic in the area might be home and have one, so he took the Jeep and I sat by the bike. The Indy wasn't home, but WS found that the local VIP was open until 7, and they had the fuse. So, all was good at the end.
Thursday I didn't get home from work until almost 7. I got the bike backed into the shed, started unloading my stuff and WS told me to hurry and get done what HAD to be done, as we had to meet Ray and Christine at the High Tide down in town. Seems they were getting ready to leave the next day (until next spring), so they wanted to get everyone together for a last meal.
Friday night WS needed a long board split, so we went to Henniker, where a long-time buddy of WS's lives, and used his table saw.
So, Tuesday night was the only night we stayed home after work. Doesn't often happen that we have so few nights at home. Getting laundry done was a challenge because of the strict schedule I have to keep in order to have dry clothes, but we made it work. It was really nice to sleep in yesterday morning - just what we needed!
Bogie--If it isn't one darned thing it's another. Glad that it's nothing you and WS can't handle. Glad that you enjoyed a bit of dining out for WS's birthday and your joint anniversary. Just keep having them, eh?!
