Bikers, welcome to Rain Week in New Hampshire. Formally known as Laconia Bike Week, it is locally known as the week that it will, with rare exceptions, be cold and rainy. We had been toasty warm, but right on cue, Saturday (the first day of the rally) dawned wet and with 60's for the high. Same is expected for today. Rain will be on and off thru Tuesday night, Wenesday and Thursday look okay (except late day thunder storms).

I found the bath mat. Someone (or something) is messing with me. I found the bath mat in the fresh sheets when I changed the bed on Tuesday. It wasn't just in the cabinet with the fresh sheets, it was wrapped up in the fitted sheet,
I do not do towels and sheets on the same day. They don't even dry at the same time. Sundays are towel days and they hang on the racks until Tuesday. Tuesday is sheet day, where I have to make room on the racks, by putting the towels away.
Not only that, but, the bath mat went missing two weeks ago. BUT, it was found in sheets that I had washed last week. we only have 2 sets of sheets so I can't be mixing up dates here.
It's a conspiracy to make me think I'm going crazy!
Usually...usually...I can reconstruct what/how it happened that something turns up where it wasn't supposed to be; but, some things are a mystery. (Let me know if you ever find my original passport that I missplaced in 2005! Gad, will you daughters have a mess on your hands if your dad and I die at the same time. Good luck!)

Minor correction here - our highs for the weekend were in the low 50's (they expected us to reach 60 - but then they expected a bit of sun too, shich didn't happen).

Still dark and rainy - waiting to get out of the 50's (If a string of 3 days over 90 is officially a heat wave - which we had last week - what is a 4 day string of days in the 50's?).

I would love a few days in the 50s. A week ago we strung together 7 days in a row on which temperatures broke 100 degrees (the last of the days it hit 102 degrees at 1:00 in the morning!) Fortunately, the temperature was only 62 degrees when I went for my walk this morning. I just came in from laying some pavers thinking that the temperature had really risen fast while I was working for 45 minutes. Turns out, it is now 68 degrees. I was just working 'way too hard!
Too bad your weather and ours can't average out for us, isn't it?
