Worked lots this week (including yesterday). Been raining since Wednesday morning. 20+ degrees colder than average (average is 70's most years) So far this season, our average daytime temp is more like 55 for this spring/summer. Windows have been closed since Tuesday and it's cold enough that I feel like starting the wood stove (no dry wood so that won't work). Getting used to wearing long sleaves during the day. No tan yet - even on the driving arm.
Clothes won't dry so we smell mildewy (have hung clothes outside 4 times this year - 3 of those times I got the clothes in before it rained again). Grilled 5 times since getting a new grill in early May - 3 times in the rain (including last night). Roses are blooming, but with the cold and the wet the blooms are just balling up into a nasty mess.
Nothing worth blogging this week.
At least we are doing better than those poor people in North Dakota!
Glad that you can still look on the bright side, Bogie, even if you're not getting any of that sun stuff. A friend in Kansas City, had been sent to North Dakota two or three weeks ago to work on the Red Cross disaster relief effort, had been sent home mid-last week, and has now arrived back in North Dakota. I'm not sure how much there will be to do since the water is supposed to hang around for the majority of the summer.
We were over 100 degrees, again, yesterday and expecting more of the same today. I still wish we could average our weather with yours!
