I noticed something when I was looking at the latest electric bill; it seems we used the same amount of electricity last month as we did the same month of last year (12 kwh).
I'm thinking that it is all the fault of the new windows and siding (with the plywood added underneath). "Why?", you ask.
Because last year the average temp was 42 degrees. This year it was 28 degrees. (note: I believe they take the average temp of Manchester - which is about 10 degrees warmer than we are).
Haven't had an electric bill over $68 this winter. Used to have them go up to the $90 range in previous years.
Okay, so it will take about 25 years to recoup the cost of the windows, siding and plywood at this rate, but I still like it!
Sweet!
