Listening to the news on the way in to work this morning, I heard about a woman who hit a moose with her car yesterday. The moose went thru the windshield and into the back seat of the car. The woman recieved minor injuries to her hand.
I remember thinking at the time, "there is no way that was a car, it had to be an SUV or a truck." A car has no chance against a moose, and people are very lucky to survive a car versus moose encounter - they never receive minor injuries in such an instance.
Every news report that I have read or heard has called the vehicle a car.
Looking at the pictures, it is obvious it is an SUV (Looks like maybe a 4-runner). When an SUV protects its driver (one of the reasons that people get SUVs), Newsies call it a car. When the Newsies want to imply that it is evil and a gas hog, it is an SUV.
Yeah. they better set their facts straight. lol.. anyways, the driver must be lucky for it was just a minor injury.

I don't understand how the story could be right without the vehicle's having been a 10-ton truck!
(I know where all of you evil, vile, wasteful SUV drivers live! *laughing*)
