Mole

As the snow receded this spring, we found that we had aquired a mole during the winter.

 

I'm hoping he had his fill of ants and Japanese Beatle grubs, then left. The only problem with this theory is that it is only in the front right section, the tunnels aren't anywhere else, meaning there are plenty of ants and grubs to be had in other areas of the yard.

While he was tunneling, he figured the chipmunks had done a bad job of landscaping and moved some of the crocus bulbs (the chipmunks had moved them all from where I originally planted them several years ago):

 
 

I wonder what other things he has repositioned for me!

Hmmm...wonder if your mole is related to the one that we acquired at some point in the last several weeks.
