New Additions

Christmas came a bit early to the Bogie household. Thursday we went to pick up the latest addition to the family:

A P239-9-CCP. JR's Gunsmithing, a local (relatively speaking) dealer, has had a falling out with Sig Sauer and will no longer be a stocking dealer (he will still special order from them). As a consequence, he is liquidating his existing Sig supply. I was lucky and got the last one he had of this model.

Yesterday we went to Place in the Woods, a local (no really, it is local) sporting goods store and picked up cleaning supplies, ear muffs and some practice rounds. I cleaned it last night to get all the preservative off the metal parts.

 

Next mission is to find a place to practice and hopefully improve upon my first shots. There is the Deering Fish and Game (no link available), but they are an outdoor only range and I'm thinking that maybe an indoor range would be good for the winter. I'll have to see what is close to work so I can minimize drive times.
