UPDATED: I resized the pictures so you could get a better look at them and I named the flower pic.
The tomatoes I planted last weekend were eager to start (all pics taken 3/27/08):
The peppers, naturally, will need more time as will most of the flowers. However, one was the first to germinate (off off seeds bought and grown last year). It actually started just showing on Wednesday night.
Mina Lobata (firecracker vine)
It looks like spring, except outside. The only ground we can see is where we keep it shoveled and snowblown. The paths have been widening out a bit, but we still have mounds of snow over 5 ft high.
4-8" of snow today, it has already started doing its thing.
There's a huge dichotomy between your inside and outside! I can't believe how high your tomatoes are.

wow your tomatoes are beginning already! that's impressive. i'm going to leave it a little longer yet. things can be kind of unpredictable here and i don't have a greenhouse.

The digital camera allows me to get within an inch of the plants, so they look a lot taller than they really are - they are probably about 1/2-3/4 inch in the picss

Bod - a greenhouse definitely helps. I've also used a cheap cold frame (made out of a couple of bales of straw and old glass panes) to hold a lot of the plants until I am ready to plant.

The seeds that I planted 2 weeks ago have barely sprouted--perenial flowers. At that, only the brown-eyed Susan's are up--maybe 1/8". I'm really impressed with your produce!
