If your a gardener, I'll bet you've done this at least once!
I'm in the process of creating a spreadsheet to track the performance of the seeds I am starting, but my "grid" is on paper. Maybe I ought to re-think my strategy and add a little something to the spreadsheets!
Well, of course, I have! I agree with the person who commented that, if one couldn't tell what the plant was by the tomato it produced, what did it matter? I should care. It would be convenient if I could remember, year-to-year, what I planted that turned out so well.
Yes, I still have the little plastic labels that came with the plants of prior years (and that were next to the plant in the garden during their growing seasons), but I never manage to make notes about which plant did what. Except, of course, for the Roma-type and little pear tomatoes (both colors) that always turn out well. I try to stick with determinates, but even they become unruly. Usually, I don't start my own tomato plants.
