Here is the pumpkin I got WS the other day:
And this is a rose called "Always a Lady. It is a miniature rose that I got as a cheap grab-bag pick when I ordered my other minis. Since I planted it, Always a Lady had been in bloom all but a couple of days. She normally has 5-8 blooms/buds that are delicately scented. Unfortunately, she is only rated for zone 6 (youz gets what you getz in a grab-bag), but perhaps I will get lucky and be able to overwinter her:
Then there is Arizona:
Night Owl is the feature of the next few pictures. Night Owl is a vigoraous climber that is continuously in bloom. Unfortunately, the Japanese beetles LOVE this rose and eat the buds while they are still forming as well as the leaves. Night Owl just ignores them and keeps on growing taller and pumping out the buds and leaves. Here are some pics taken just yesterday:
The true color is not represented in the above pics. It is really tough to capture what it looks like to the eye. The next picture, although blurry, shows the color more truely:
Here is Limelight hydrangea's blooms. They start off a greenish, turn white then darken as they age. A truly beautiful plant! It has actually put out two new blooms that are in their white stages, but they are hidden back behind the older blooms. If I had noticed them when taking the pic, I would have tried to catch an angle for them to show.
And, as a closer, the autumn colors of the maple tree down the road from us. It was at peak on Friday, but it was too foggy to get a decent picture. This picture was taken on Saturday, after thunderstorms had come thru the night stripping off half the leaves.
That would be the end of the picture show - hope you enjoyed it!
Wow! Had we only had popcorn to go with. Beautiful flowers, foliage, and Harley pumpkin. Thank you!
