Remember last week when I thought the Bogie luck was turning? I was getting replacement shelves for our pantry; one shelf had broken, and another is heavily bowed. I was so excited to find out they were under warranty so they wouldn't cost us a dime.
The box of shelves came in earlier this week, and I was going to install them today so I could get all the stuff that is stacked on any surface that is semi-flat back into the pantry. My excitement over the free shelves abated when I realized why they were free - they are the wrong shelves. As in really wrong - they should be 28 1/4" wide, but are 34 1/4" wide (what is it with the 1/4"?).
I called up the company, which was long distance and definitely not free. The operator was very pleasant and helpful and I will be getting another set of shelves sometime after Christmas. When I asked the gal what I should do with the too-large shelves, she said just to throw them away. I'm hoping that WS can come up with a way to recycle them into something useful. This next shipment of shelves is still free, except for that 10 minutes worth of long distance time (most of it on hold), so I guess I can't complain too much.
I am now positive that the Bogie luck will sneak up again and whatever I get won't be right (or, they will never arrive) and the company will get fed up and not send me any more shelves.
Well, while waiting for the real shelves, you could have WS cut 6 inches off the length and they should fit long enough for the others to show up.
Or, he could make some shelves for the shop out of them.
Just saying...

If he cuts them down, and I put them in the cabinet, they are staying there forever (or at least until they break). I literally have to take everything out of the cabinet to get the shelves in. So I will wait.
