With the massive rain on Saturday and the high winds of Sunday, it was a good weekend to stay indoors. With that strategy laid out, I decided to clean up the mounds of paperwork in the den. I had about 6 months of stuff, that at one point was deemed nn-throw-awayable, stacked in a large cutout on the desk. I also had several years worth of stuff in a 4 drawer filing cabinet.
After deciding I could throw away our tax related stuff for 1989 thru 1997, along with all the paychecks, I worked the shredder so hard it over-heated and quit on Saturday (previous to the mentioned paperwork, 85% of the stack on the desk was shredded - so the shredder had been going for at least an hour without a break before it overheated). After an hour or so, it decided it could handle working again. Saturday I spent 5 hours sorting, filing and shredding.
Sunday, I spent 3-4 more hours doing the same, and threw in moving a couple pieces of furniture around to the mix. Now, naturally, I can't find the paperwork for the watersoftner, even though on Friday I could have laid my hands on it in 30 seconds (45 seconds on a bad day).
Hmmpf, see if I ever clean again!
Excuses, excuses. Maybe some of your memory got shredded? Sounds like a good weekend's work got done. Congratulations!

With the winds that you guys had yesterday, you could probably have sailed the vacuum and the water softener into the Atlantic with a small fling. Any damage in your area?

I did find the paperwork that I was looking for. the first time I looked in the Cooligan folder, I found the installation manual. Then I looked again and found a smaller booklet at the bottom of the folder (I was expecting a pamphlet that was 8 x 11 - so didn't reach further in the first time.
No damage around here, although a tree came down in Weare and took out power for a good long while Sunday night into Monday morning.
