His car's been all those places in the last 8 years and he only has 100k on it? What, is he taking it on a trailer and unloading it to drive up and down Main Street (like some mis-guided bikers when they go to Daytona, Sturgis or Laconia)? Heck, my trucks only been a couple of places (Niagra Falls, Washington DC, and Rhode Island) and I've got damn near 60k on it in 2.5 years.
Congrats on his 100k, but I've been thru 2 vehicles that did that as a break-in period, and am well on my way with the 3rd. WS's truck just rolled 100k at 6 years old and we expect another 5-6 years out of it easy.
I understand that WS and I travel a bit to get to work, but really - bragging over that tiny bit of mileage is a bit excessive!*
* okay, so I had nothing to write about when I saw this and just had to pick on him for fun.
I once got a car all the way up to 63,000 miles. (Dudette is still driving it at over twice the mileage that I put on it, I suspect.) My current car is working on 53,000, I think; so, it will be replaced within the next 6-10 months. Some cars die of old age rather than over-use! It's a shame, isn't it?
