So last week it was the vacuum, this week it is the water softner. There is nothing quite like brushing your teeth, and rinsing your mouth out with brine - especially when you aren't expecting it. the water coming out of the tap literally foams with the salt content. I'll have to call Culligan and see if they can service it. However, it is 16-17 years old, so they may not make parts for it any more (at least that made it w-a-a-a-y past it's warranty).
Meanwhile, I will have to bypass the system, meaning our water will be orange from all the iron in it (tastes nasty too). Although the water is safe without treatment I will have to buy drinking water because it tastes extremely nasty. Washing the laundry is out (and of course it is "white's night") unless I go to the laundromat. Oh joy!
Can hardly wait to see what else decides to go kaput!
As long as you and WS don't go kaput, you'll be all right. (Easy for me to say!)
