Buffy is so disgusting when she brags like this. Us, it's been cloudy, snowy and rainy. We've had the woodstove going every night - and all day yesterday; the forcast of sun and in the high 40's didn't fit reality of absolutely no sun and in the mid 30's (and windy to boot).
Forecast today says sunny and in the 50's. We'll see, but I can tell that at least the sky isn't overcast at this point.
I'm hoping to get vegetable seeds started today. It depends on how warm it gets since I want to do everything out on the deck before putting the flats under lights in the basement. Last year I used the kitchen and for weeks I was finding soil in the weirdest of places (like silverware drawers).
I sure miss the greenhouse at times like this!
I am SO envious that you are successful at starting your own plants! I had a HUGE crop going in the basement one year, with florescent lights low over the plants, and even a fan to get them used to breezes, but I always loose them in the hardening off stage. I really need a greenhouse!
I planted the pansies, and have some left. I'll have to find more places to tuck them in. And, it's time to move the plants that have been wintering over in the garage to the real world. It's still chilly today, so they're going out the first of the week.
Enjoy that dirt!

I did enjoy the dirt. It was nice and sunny, and about 50. Got tomatoes, peppers, melons, pumpkins and some flower seeds started inside. I also started lettuce/greens and carrots in planters outside (they would get rototilled under if I tried to put them in the garden now).

You are both making progress! Other than a few tomato plants, onions (still growing from last year), and greens (spinach, turnips, chard), I probably won't fool with a vegetable garden, this year. I'm still trying to get the non-grass areas of our yard under control. Lots of spading, lots of weeding, lots of mulching. Will it ever end? (Yeah, I know...HH won't bother with any of it when I'm gone.)

my dad came and mowed my lawn for me last week does that count?

Bod - I don't think that counts as playing in the dirt - but it does mean that spring has sprung for you guys (our grass is still brown).
Cop Car - It is not supposed to end, it gives you a reason to live forever.
