I finally got someone to take my money today so we could have some pudding (ie, I was actually able to buy meat).

WS has not been able to ride his new sled this year. We did get snow yesterday, but only 5-6". That is all we have gotten at a wack since the beginning of the year and it has always warmed up so most of it has melted by the time we have another snow storm.

Of course this weekend we have about a million birds at the feeders. Not really, we have the normal amount of birds, but the last two weekends we have had less than the norm. That is because the last two weekends were bird-count weekends. Now the shy ones have come back out of hiding.

You would think people in NH could drive in a couple of inches of snow. Apparently not, and there was a 50 car pileup to prove it.

I have watched as much of the olympics as possible, even staying up late some nights to watch. The coverage seems abysmal to me. If I stay up until 11PM, then I expect to see some of the favorites for medal contention. Instead, apparently only 2nd shifters got to see that - after they got home from work. Hey, but we could watch all the curling we wanted; that is all that played on one station 6-8PM, every night for about 10 days!

That's it for today, hope everyone is having a good weekend!
We have not cared for the TV coverage on the Olympics for some years. It's much too "managed" and we object to the fact that the information is delayed, and that we could see so much more if they weren't doing so much fluff on the competition and the competitors. Since their ratings dropped considerably this year, they may have to reconsider how they cover them in the future. We can only hope.

I didn't think this year's coverage was as bad with the fluff (although there was still plenty of that). My complaint mostly stems around the fact that I never, ever, gotto see a meddle-winning performance in speed skating, ice dancing (figure skating) an others of my favorite sports.
