So we didn't make the 3-digit numbers for a temperature yesterday (gee, I'm so disappointed - NOT).
Yesterday’s 94-degree high in Concord missed the day’s record of 99 set back in 1870, but it was the warmest day since June 27, 2003, when the mercury read 95. (from today's edition of the Union Leader)
The humidity didn't get nearly as high as expected either - at about 41%, which made it more comfortable than a couple of weeks ago when the temps were in the 80's.
We did however, take it pretty easy; WS washed his truck and the recycle barrels and I reconciled the checkbook (on the computer downstairs where it is coolest) and watered plants. A real tough day!
About 5 we headed over to the lake with the raft - letting our hands and feet dangle over into the cool water as we floated along. The water is still a bit on the cold side for swimming, but we did dunk in a couple of times when we pulled back in toward shore.
I'll be re-potting a few plants today, but we'll probably lay low again today as it is supposed to be about as hot as it was yesterday, and probably more humid. We'll see.
