It was a very busy week at work. I have been working on additions to databases (pre-exixting and those that I have recently developed for the company), lots of new procedures, many MRB and internal corrective actions (I am the distributor and tracker), keeping up the MSDS books (every chemical company seems to have updated those lately), along with other routine stuff.
Additionally, I have been given the task of catching up on making First Article Inspection (FAI) templates. One of our customers alone has revised about 20 drawings. Our company also is more of a job-shop, where most orders are for something new, so new FAIs have to be made for each of those.
I have spent so much time at work that we had to turn down a Saint Patrick's day dinner with some friends. When I heard the message on the answering machine, about the dinner, I called H&H to let them know that we wouldn't be able to make it because I had been getting home only 2 hours before bed time, and in that time I still had to get things done. WS has been a big help - starting laundry, making dinner, taking care of the animals and generally being an all-around good guy.
We have had some nice weather this week (not that I've gotten to enjoy it much). The pathways are mostly down to bare ground. Half the driveway is almost bare, the half of the driveway that gets no sun is a sheet of ice. Hopefully in a couple more days the ice will be gone too.
It has been so nice that we had a fire in the woodstove on only one night this week. The sun should heat the house nicely this weekend too, so I don't plan to fire it up anytime soon. I was worried about our wood supply, we are down to about 3 fires worth of wood, and I have been happy with the weather's cooperation.
And that is the report for the week up here in the not-so-frozen-anymore Northeast.
You picked a winner in WS. (He picked one in you.)
