Cop Car led me to a geography quiz that she she got from a friend. I started with Utah and placed it within 79 miles of its actual location. I found this to be a great victory because I don't even think I've ever been to Utah. I managed to place 40 states (80%) of the states accurately. My average miss was by 52 miles and I placed them within 563 seconds.
The states that gave me the worst headaches were Iowa and Rhode Island. RI was the first eastern state that I drew and I managed to place it a couple hundred miles south of its real location (sorry I misplaced you Jim!). Then Iowa came up and, stupid me, I was thinking Ohio, so was just a tad off there as well. the other states that I missed, I just did so by 20-70 miles (which for the scale of things, I don't think was too bad).
Just for fun, I tried the quiz again (for the first 5 states) and drew Colorado first. Woohoo, I dropped it perfectly as I did for North Dakota, Missouri, Oregon (easy) and Utah (easy again because I already had Colorado in place).
Well done, Bogie. You and Buffy beat me all to heck!

I thought my scores were lower than yours on all counts.

Too much fun, thx Bogie. We scored really close (88%, 29miles, 518s) A good break from work. :)

Shame on you Tim - doing this at work, I'm shocked!

Obviously, your math is better than mine, Bogie. I don't know where my head was! (Now, now, that wasn't a nice thought, Bogie!)
