Thursday the weatherforcasters finally got one right; they called for snow, turning to sleet / freezing rain. It certainly did all that prompting many businesses to send their employees early once the nasty ice started developing. WS and his crew were sent home early, we weren't (although many people just left anyway - I stayed). The state got lucky though and had no power outages that I know of.
The drive home was a bit on the nasty side, until I got about 8 miles from home. At that point, it never turned to sleet, we just got snow. That made shovelling the 6" of white stuff a lot easier!
Friday night they said Saturday would be partly cloudy, but on Saturday morning they changed their mind and called for snow; 2 - 5" in my area. I started snowing about 11 AM and didn't quit until after 10 PM (when I went to bed). The flakes were fairly small, and it was heavier than the last snow, so we ended up with about 6" of the white stuff.
I think WS is going to get to try the sled out a bit today.
Wow, did you luck out! Hope WS has a lot of fun with the sled--he's worked on it hard enough to have earned his fun.
Whine: We haven't had enough snow for ice cream.
