Naturally, we didn't get into the 50's, or even 40's yesterday - the top temp was mid 30's. It was about 31 degrees when we went to bed last night.
However, we did have a warm up overnight that brough rains and the temp right now is 54 degrees. Most of the snow is gone (or at least there isn't enough snow for sledding and all the places that have been shoveled are bare ground). In fact, with the rain and thawing snow, the northern 1/2 of the state is under a flood wach.
Within the next 6 hours, the temp will plung by at least 30 degrees and the rain will turn to snow. Not much snow will fall as it will develop at the tail end of the storm.
Guess I should have stayed up last night to enjoy the warm weather!
By 11 it was snowing. We didn't get much, just a dusting by the time everything got cold enough that the snow didn't melt as it hit.
In the last 36 hours we have had fog, rain, sleet, freezing rain, snow, 13 degree temps (this morning) and 54 degree temps. The only thing we haven't had is sun or dry warmth.

Guess you were a little warmer than we were. Our thermometer said 7 degrees yesterday morning. It's a bit warmer this morning (I just checked--it's 12 degrees), and we have been getting sprinkles of snow. HH is out running, just now. He did wear the new neck gaitor that I had ordered for him; but, I'll be surprised if he doesn't freeze his skinny butt off--LOL.
