I have finally gotten some of the pictures from our trip to Niagara Falls up in the Photo Album. Damn, one more thing I meant to do while Cop Car and her Hunky Husband were here was to go thru all the pictures!
Since the photo album seems to place the pictures in some random order which I am too stupid to figure out and doesn't stick to a logicall means of sorting them like time of download, time that the picture was taken, or alphabetically by picture name, I will attempt to give them some sort of order on this post.
Let's see, one of the first pictures I took was of the Wonderful Spouse looking at the falls (actually, at that moment he was looking at me and the camera). Behind him is our friend Jim. I have no clue who the gentleman in the background is - just another tourist like us.
Shortly after that picture was taken, we went to the Butterfly Conservancy. We got to see blue butterflies, orange butterflies and mating butterflies.
We had to wait while Karen perused the gift shop (damn, I didn't show the folks the calender she got us - they have much better pictures than mine). So, I snapped a picture of Jim in front of the Conservancy building. I also got a picture of the entrance to the Botanical Gardens.
Next, we took a quick stop at the Whirlpool a couple of miles below the falls.
The next thing on our list was to take a walk along the river's edge, beside the rapids. Had to take a long elevator ride to get that far down from the topside! I had to snap a picture of the crew, the wishing well, and the height of some of the rapids.
The next stop was to take a walk under the falls. It is hard to describe what it was like, but the earth never stops moving there! The first place you get to stop is right beside the edge of the falls, about 1/2 wway between the top and bottom of the falls. We got mighty wet standing on the landing, even with raincoats on!
We then took a break and got something to eat. When we came out, the color of the falls was amazing! We also got to see the Maid of the Mist as it was almost directly under the falls. I also made sure to get a picture of the shipwreck.
Then it was time for our voyage on the Maid of the Mist. See how everyone is covered in blue? They are all wearing raincoats (provided by the park service).
We passed Bridal Veil Falls, and made our way to Horseshoe Falls. This is as close as I could actually take a picture of the Horseshoe Falls. Pictures when we were closer would have just shown a bunch of spots from the mist.
And just in case you missed it, here is the picture at the top of Horseshoe Falls.
I wish I could post all of the pictures, because that is just a sample of the 4 1/2 rolls of film that I used up. However, time constraints and server storage restrictions means that if you want to see more, you'll have to go look for yourselves!
Some how, one more time, I left my comment in the wrong place. If you can move my comment from More Linkage and put it here (replace this comment with that one), it'll make more sense to anyone traipsing through.

You made me realize that I've been lying for the last 30 years. I've been telling people that I had never left the 48 contiguous states (until last November when the Little Airplane Company sent me to Montreal). I now recall that, when I was a kid our family went to Niagara Falls and did, indeed, cross into Canada.
Did you take the "Gettingwet" picture, or is that you?
Since I am the youngest person in the house (if I translate the cats into human age equivalents), I just peeped at the mating butterflies through my fingers.
I, too, am sorry that neither of us thought about your pictures while HH and I were there, Bogie. Thanks for posting the pictures!

Don't worry, I don't know how many times I've done that!

There is no pictoral proof that I ever went, except the fact that I took all the pictures
