Since my birthday falls in April, it is time to have my vehicle inspected. I dropped my truck off at a local shop, Mush Cooks Garage, last night so that Glenn could work on it today (the Wonderful Spouse picked me up and took me home). It will probably need brakes, and possibly tires, in order to pass inspection. I am also having Glenn change the oil - it's the first time I have ever had to have it changed because it has been 3 months since the last change instead of because I had driven 3,000 miles (or more).
Glenn is a great guy to have work on your vehicle, but I rarely get a chance to have him do so. Normally, I would be in a hurry to get my truck back so I would have to take it to a bigger outfit to have the work done. His is a one-person shop, so things just don't get done as quickly and he doesn't have a waiting room where one can wait in in semi-comfort. Since I don't have to be anywhere today, I was more than happy to drop it off.
I'm hoping the tires are in good enough shape to pass inspection and get me thru the summer. Then next fall I would put on new tires. I'll find out later if that is possible. In the meantime, I know the truck is in good hands.
Dear Husband's truck died today. He thinks it's time for a new transmission, so the truck is at our favorite auto shop. We send them our personal vehicles as well as the company trucks. It's great to have a shop you can trust.
I hope your car comes back in great shape, and that you have a wonderful birthday!
