And counting until the Wonderful Spouse departs on his great adventure to Sturgis (and beyond). He is getting antsy to get away from work (he really needs and deserves a break).
WS put on his running boards and new seat over the weekend and took a ride on Sunday. He said that it felt very different in a good way - extremely comfortable. He found a crack in his clutch handle assembly, so will replace that before he leaves. I think he has a few other minor things that he wishes to get done too. He is working 10 hour days this week, so he is fighting time a little. Fortunately, the minor things (besides the clutch handle), don't have to get done, it would just be nice if the were done.
I'm looking foreward to seeing him off (gives us both a break). Maybe I can get a picture of him and the bike all packed up to share with you this weekend.
Pictures! Pictures!

Met a guy as I was walking through the factory, yesterday, who was wearing a T-shirt from Sturgis 1988. Unfortunately each of us seemed to be on a mission and I didn't have the opportunity to stop him to chat. Hope WS has a safe journey and that he enjoys it immensely. I know what you mean about the break, though. Big B wants HH to come back to Philly for a few weeks. I'm ready to call Big B to complain that they haven't said anything that makes him want to go! He'll be on call for national American Red Cross duty during the month of October. That means that, if they call him, he's obligated to leave the house, within a specified number of hours, to go serve.

Hopefully he comes home with something more than a "He went to Sturgis and all I got was this lousy T shirt" type of thing. LOL.
Hope he gets the most out of the trip and makes it back safely. He does know there are places to stop along the way if he needs to. Nuf said. Happy trails.

Wichi Dude - Never mind the T-shirt, I'm just hoping he comes back with some money left over LOL!
I'll pass along everyone's well wishes for his trip.

What do biker pilots do? Sturgis versus Oshkosh. I guess they go to Oshkosh with their bike in back, then fly to Rapid City and cruise on up to Sturgis?

Sturgis-Oshkosh, guess that would be a tough choice. It sounds like you have a great solution though!
