L.T. Smash has some good advise on how to send care packages to deployed soldiers (by the way, L.T. Smash is not in need, so it is advise on finding those that are). There is even someplace you can make a donation and a care package will be sent in your name.
I've been reading L.T.'s blog for a little while (lurking really), and he has some good essays. If you get some time, take a look through his site.
