Pictures from the Gardens
Just a bunch of pictures for you to enjoy. You should be able to see the names as you hover your mouse.
There used to be pink foxgloves, but somehow none of them survived, so I just have a gajillion yellow ones.
Only 2 of my 5 lavender patches survived the winter - none of the ones next to the house made it. Also lost 2 out of 3 butterfly bushes and nearly lost this rhododendron.
Not sure it will claw its way back, but I'll give it a chance.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures (besides the poor rhododendron).

Each time I enlarged one of the photos I though, "Oooh! I must comment on how pretty that is!" Roses, mountain laurel, penstemmon, foxglove, petunias, and lavender - wow! (Well, I didn't really have the same thought about the rhododendron. I'm just amazed that it was hardy enough to survive!) Except for roses and rhododendrons, I've never grown any of them. It's too bad that I just sauteed some onions and mushrooms. I couldn't really smell the flowers.

Well, I failed to mention your tall, beautiful firethorn. It is reaching its mark, isn't it?

That sauteed onion smell will pretty much cover up any nice flower smell that you would get from looking at the pictures.

The firethorn is definitely reaching for the skies and doing beautifully. With the amount of flowers on them (I got the picture as after a lot of the flowers had gone), it should be another banner year for berries.
