Concert Goers
Yes, I've been gone for a bit - worked on Saturday and tried to catch up on stuff Sunday, so wasn't on the computer except to grab email.
When last I left you, we had a concert to go to on Sunday (not last Sunday, the Sunday before). We went to Styx / REO Speedwagon / Def Leopard (the bands came out in that order).
Styx rocked! They were energetic, played all their hits, and seemed to really enjoy themselves. I don't think they lost a step at all. They brought the house down with Come Sail Away - Plenty of crowd participation on that one!
REO was a bit of a break. We sat during most of their portion. The music was mellower, and they didn't seem to put out as much effort. I was a bit dissapointed in the performance, but perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if they had come out first - WS and I agreed that them coming out after Styx didn't do them any favors.
Def Leopard, who we saw two years ago, still puts on a hell of a show. They put out the energy to get the crowd going and enjoy entertaining us.
We had a great time and got home just before midnight. Needless to say, I slept in a bit before going to work (still got there at 8 - before many of the Engineers show up).
Hmm, Styx has a concert with Boston in August at Meadowbrook - maybe we'll have to hit up that show; Styx was good enough that I wouldn't mind seeing them again, and I'd love to see how Boston does without Brad Delf.

You are speaking a language that is foreign to me, but I'm very glad that you and WS had such a grand time.
